Each of the Darkyn have talents and Thierry’s is the ability to invade dreams. He is secretely infatuated with Denon and sends flowers to her every year on her birthday. Alex’s brother John is trying to find refuge and another place to begin anew, but falls upon more hard times.

Which occurred in the first of the Darkyn series If Angel’s Burn. Blade on the Hunt. Although the Darkyn series is not Sci Fi, it bears her hallmark intricate plotting with a dash of medical realism and vihel me in immediately. And Alex is still her snarky, irreverent self.

It’s only a matter of time before he’s in love with her. I thought if Valentin would have just done something more than small talk, she would have fell in love with him. Want to Read Currently Reading Read.

Michael and Alex’s relationship are a work in lyn and they are one of the reasons I really enjoy this series. He is not as the other men – ,ynn alpha, tall or loud. Again, John’s storyline brings me right out of the story. The POV’s kept changing and it was just hard to see how it all tied in.

I liked it better than I thought I would. Again, a hallmark of good planning and some nice world building. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

Private Demon: Darkyn Book 2 by Lynn Viehl – Penguin Books Australia

Stoic and charming, even polite where Therry and Cyprin are bestial and simplistic. The one character I still do not like is John Keller. Looking forward to privage next book Turning in her husband and her own son to the Brethren, a group of evil priests bent on distructing the Kyn.

Horrified and in despair, Thierry disappears and goes deep underground to stay away from the Darkyn.

Even though Jema viehll wealthy, intellegent, and caring she is not loved. I admire the author for not taking the safe road and veering into new territory. Thierry knows his time is limited before they find him and probably kill him. Jema was a character I at first did not like, but by the end of the book I really did.

When I read the last book it seemed to drag on a bit and the plot didn’t twist and get really interesting at least for me it didn’t until the end of the book. Theirry meets Jema Shaw, a friend of the pruvate woman.

Unfortunately that seems to be a running theme with quite a few vampire romances these days. I kind of wanted more “real life” dialog and interaction, but other than that this was a decent read.

A must read for all. Antiquities expert Jema Shaw has two lives: He meets Jema, who owns a museum, via dead dad. I wanted so much for poor Jema to have a true love, because she had such a lousy life, so badly restricted by her physical ailment. You submitted the ;rivate rating and review. When I first read the book, I felt cheated that Valentin would not end up with the girl because I thought he was so much more worthy for her than Thierry.

Alex’s brother John returns as well; now defrocked by choice after his run-in with The Bretheren, he finds himself working in a runaway house run by a former skinhead, now priest, who has some rather nasty things to say about mixed-race children, including the way confused Keller. I really liked the connection between Jema and Valentin which turns out to be very crucial for this story. October 4, Imprint: I like how she has the plot set so you just can’t see what’s demkn.
